How to Properly Care for Lejaan Bath Linen

Want to make sure your bath linen retains its softness, absorbency and exceptional shade? Then read our bath linen care tips to ensure it feels like new for years. Recently, we wrote about how to care for bed linen, today we’ll focus on Lejaan’s bathroom products.

Terry Cloth Towels, Bathrobes and Bath Mats

Terry cloth is a type of fabric featuring a loop design, often made of cotton, that is super absorbent, which is exactly what one requires in the bathroom. Our towels, unisex bathrobes and bath mats feature this fabric.

What’s more, our towels are not only made from classic cotton, but also premium cotton, organic cotton and a cotton and hemp blend.

Washing Bath Linen: How and When

In order to preserve colour fastness and the performance qualities of our bath linen, we recommend washing it separately from other laundry (bedding or regular clothes) and separating white, light and dark colours.

To destroy any bacteria, wash at 60 °C along with the appropriate dosage of a gentle or eco-friendly detergent. Avoid the use of detergents, disinfectants or other laundry mixtures containing bleaches, brighteners, benzoyl peroxide or alpha-hydroxy acids. And avoid the use of fabric softener. Such products reduce softness and absorbency.

We wash bath mats the most often as these are more prone to bacterial growth. How often you should wash towels and bathrobes depends on how often you use them and your personal preference. That said, whenever you take a towel to the pool and it has been in contact with chlorinated water, always wash it as soon as possible to rid it of all chemicals.

Drying Bath Linen

When drying bath linen, good air circulation is the key. Be careful of humidity, always ventilate the room well and never leave wet or damp bath linen on the floor- hang it up to dry! When tumble drying, always use a gentle cycle with a low or medium heat setting. These tips will ensure your towels and bathrobes stay soft and absorbent. And then there’s need to iron!

Think your air-dried bath linen has lost its soft, plush feel? Then pop it in a tumble dryer set on a quick cycle and no heat setting. This is a guaranteed trick that always works wonders.

Storing Bath Linen and Practical Tips

Do not store folded or hung-up bath linen in places where humidity is high. Hang bath linen using the hanging loop to avoid accidental fabric tears.

Did you accidentally use the wrong detergent, and your bath linen now feels stiff and crunchy? Don’t despair! Simply wash it again in warm water and the crustiness will be gone!

If a loop or thread hangs loose on your bath linen, simply cut it off with a pair of sharp scissors. This will not damage your product.
