For us, sustainability is not just a passing trend, but a true value that permeates everything we do. What are our specific steps towards a more sustainable world?
TIMELESS COLLECTIONS
All our products are designed with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and timeless shades. Lejaan's creative director, Jana Hučíková, considers the timelessness of bed linen collections already during the initial shade selection: "We choose the colours of the bed linen so that they can be combined with each other. You don't have to buy whole sets; you can simply mix and match them and buy only individual covers."
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
Lejaan bedding is made by Czech seamstresses from natural materials such as certified organic cotton or eucalyptus lyocell fibre.
NO BUTTONS OR ZIPPERS
Our collections are sewn to avoid creating unnecessary plastics. Instead of irritating zippers and hard buttons, we use special closures inspired by the hotel industry. The marvel called the hotel flap serves the purpose just as well as other fastening elements, but unlike plastics, it will last for many years without incident. The duvet stays in place, and thanks to the elimination of buttons and zippers, our bedding is also fully biodegradable.
LEJAANKY
As a further step towards sustainability, we have designed Lejaanky, fabric bags, which we sew from leftover fabrics. We don't waste excellent materials, and at the same time, we create practical accessories for everyday use.
LEJAAN PACKAGING
Our packaging is FSC certified, confirming that the packaging was made from materials from sustainably managed forests. The ecological packaging option is 100% recyclable. We use paper tape to seal boxes.
MANUFACTURING
Textile materials for all bed linen collections meet international certification, which confirms that the entire production chain respects strict conditions from the first to the last step. No chemicals may be used in the entire process (cultivation, harvesting, dyeing), so you will not find pesticides, heavy metals, or other harmful substances in Lejaan collections.
We perceive sustainability as a path towards slowing down, reducing consumption, and preserving natural resources, which production should follow. We believe that as a brand, we can grow while extending the product life cycle, increasing the value of timeless pieces, and reducing waste and environmental damage.
