She lives with her dog, Delfína, studies psychology, and recently started recording the podcast Aura. It's Monday morning, and we're in her airy apartment in Letná. What does home mean to Teri Hodanová, and what are her favorite interior accessories?

HOME IS WHERE...

Fína is.

Do you have a favorite ritual?

I love rituals. I love to light all my scented candles, palo santo, and incense and just exist.

If my house were on fire, I would save…

Primarily Fína and my marble table.

Do you have a favorite spot in your apartment?

Definitely the kitchen with the dining room; it has the most light and space, and I essentially do everything there. I work, cook, and eat here the most, but mostly I just love to just be here.

"Home is where Fína is."

Speaking of food, what do you prepare for guests, for example?

I love baking, especially fruit tarts and crumb cakes. I enjoy sharing food. I buy some delicious treats, and then we just enjoy our time together.

What is your Lejaan favorite?

Definitely the Quiet Jungle bedding. White, smooth, and beautiful.

Do you have a favorite home hack?

I don't really have a hack, but my apartment has a lot of hidden nooks and interesting accessories. Everywhere you look, you'll find something good to eat and something to browse – books, photos, souvenirs from travels, pebbles, dried flowers, lots of fragrant things. I couldn't be without these little details.

WHAT SHOULD EVERYONE HAVE AT HOME?

Everyone should find what defines them and surround themselves with it. For a long time, I couldn't figure that out, and then I realized it's not about things others have, but what I like. I couldn't be without flowers at home. I mean cut flowers, because nothing else survives here – except for a fig tree, which I've had for four years, and I have no idea how.

If we offered you to create a custom product, what would it be?

Definitely a rug, because I don't have one yet, and I know exactly what I'd want. And various stools and armchairs, you can never have enough of those.

What does home smell like?

Like a lot of sandalwood, that's my number one. I also love essential oils of all kinds, which I mix according to the season. And of course, candles; I try to choose Czech and Slovak ones, and then classics like Byredo.

"A place where I love to just exist."

WHAT DO YOU MOST ENJOY WEARING AT HOME?

I love shorts; I have about twenty pairs of shorts for home, but I wear them out too, and leggings.

ARE THERE ANY PIECES YOU TRY TO CUSTOMIZE TO YOUR LIKING?

Yes, I like vintage. I think it's half and half here; some things are cheaper, I invest in others, I have things from second, and sometimes even third or fourth hand.
