Home is where the love is. And peeking into the home of actress Julie Štandera was like taking a breath of fresh air, permeated through and through with love.
A family home with a majestic window and a view of sprawling greenery has become a children's sanctuary and a place with a clear opinion – that home is the coziest and most welcoming place under the sun.
You and your husband sealed your love in a rather unconventional ceremony in Las Vegas. How do you remember that event?
As the best decision of my life. Everything happened at the right time in the right place.
What is the key to a happy marriage and a peaceful home?
Communication and regular parental retreats without children. (laughs)

Bedroom covered in stripes from the Daily Notes and Old Memories collections.
What principles do you never give up on when raising Rose and Kevin?
That phones and technology do not belong in children's hands. And that time is the most precious thing we have and can give.
What do you think makes a home?
Mom and Dad.
What part of it is your favorite?
The table. I like when we all gather around it together. And that window, it's an undeniable highlight of our house. The view from it is always different – snowy, blooming, green... There's always something to observe.
And what parts of your "home" do your children like best?
The windowsill and the sofa, hands down. (laughs) It's their climbing frame, jumping off point, trampoline, and stage.

"Time is the most precious thing we have and can give."
Is there anything you still long for in your interior?
Currently, we are intensely working on Kevin's room. Once the room is finished, there will only be one last thing missing from the interior, and that is a fireplace. It will be the icing on the cake. We are really looking forward to lighting the first fire in it. For now, it seems to me that the house is a lifelong project, so there is always something to work on and long for.
And what do you think home smells like?
Like freshly baked bundt cake.

Julie chose woven accessories from the Woven Monocolour collection for her living room.
You can recommend your favorite interior fragrances or candles right away.
My favorite (bought) scent is the one we brought back from our honeymoon in Mexico. I'm really saving it because we only bought two bottles, so our home only smells like Mexico occasionally, exceptionally.
How would you describe your house in three words?
Light. Toys. Nature.

How often do you change, move, or rearrange things in your apartment?
I move things around quite often, but they are just small things on shelves. For example, those little things in the kitchen – flour, sugar, spices, toys in the room, cars, dolls. I always try to find the most ideal place for everything so that it makes sense... So if someone is looking for something, Mom usually knows where to find it. (laughs)
What do you think makes every space cozy?
Curtains and paintings.
And what should everyone have at home?
Love.
Early bird or night owl?
Night owl.

A combination of brick and light grey towels made from 100% organic cotton.
What evokes the feeling of freshly made beds in you?
Returning home.
What else could Lejaan produce?
Wallpaper for children's bedding. Then everything would be beautifully matchy-matchy.

Rose and Kevin's kingdom combines pastel shades of yellow, pink, and blue.
Sleeping under the stars or in a luxurious hotel?
Sleeping under the stars in a luxurious hotel.
Old second-hand items or new arrivals?
Old items – ideally from my mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother.

The house is surrounded by blooming greenery, birdsong, and a picturesque view. "There's always something to observe," Julie says.
An evening at a party or in bed?
At a party, and then in bed. (laughs)
Morning coffee or tea?
Tea.
Solid colors, or Mix & Match?
Solid colors, but once I mostly have Lejaan at home, I'll do Mix & Match too. I'm looking forward to it!
