Do you want your terry to retain its softness, absorbency, and unique shade? Read our detailed tips on how to best care for Lejaan products and keep them looking new.
Terry towels, bathrobes, and bath mats
Terry is a type of looped fabric, usually made from cotton, with a high moisture absorption capacity, making it ideal for bathroom use. At Lejaan, we sew towels and bath towels, unisex bathrobes and practical bath mats from this textile.
For towels, in addition to classic cotton, we also offer options made from premium cotton, organic cotton, or a combination of cotton and hemp.

Our terry products can be perfectly combined, as collections often feature the same Pantone shade.
How and when to wash terry cloth
To preserve colorfastness and original quality, we recommend washing terry separately from other laundry (bedding or regular clothing) and separating white, light, and dark colors.
To kill all bacteria, we suggest washing terry at 60 °C and using gentler or eco-friendly detergents, always in an adequate dose. Try to avoid detergents, disinfectants, or other household mixtures containing bleaches, brighteners, benzoyl peroxide, or alpha-hydroxy acids. Also, omit fabric softener. These products strip the products of their softness and absorbent properties.
We most often wash bath mats, which are most susceptible to the proliferation of bad bacteria. The frequency of washing towels and bathrobes depends on your personal use and preferences. However, if you took any bath towel to the pool and it came into contact with chlorinated water, it is advisable to wash it as soon as possible to remove the chemicals.

We recommend washing terry cloth with a gentle detergent at 60 °C.
Terry cloth and drying
When drying terry, be careful about humidity. Try to ventilate the room and do not leave damp products crumpled to prevent unwanted dampness and bacterial growth. If you choose to tumble dry, select a delicate program and low to medium temperature. Only then will our towels and bathrobes remain as soft and absorbent as possible. Ironing is not necessary in this case.
Do you find that air-dried terry is not as soft? Give it a short tumble dry cycle without heat. It's a guaranteed trick that works wonderfully.

Our Playful Cotton towels not only absorb water well but also dry quickly.
Storing terry cloth and a few practical tips
Store terry folded or hung in a place without extreme humidity. Do not hang terry any way other than by the loop, to prevent unwanted tearing of the fabric over time.
Did you wash a product with the wrong cleaning agent, causing the terry to feel strangely crisp? No problem. Just rinse it in warm water, and the crispiness should disappear.
If you find loose loops or threads, don't hesitate to trim them. It won't harm the product in any way.

The most practical choice is neutral terry, such as from the Delicate Cotton collection.
