Líján, Ležán, Lejýn. We hear our brand pronounced in these ways, too. What is the correct pronunciation, and what story lies behind these six letters?

Lejaan was founded in 2020 by three friends, Marcel Gecov, Honza Kmoch, and Honza Bartoš. However, preparations began three years earlier. The development phase was not straightforward at all and included many dead ends. Already in the imaginary final, when the labels were printed and the products almost ready for sale, they decided on a total name change.

“At the airport in Thailand, where we were on a joint trip, we realized that if we wanted to build a lovebrand, we had to choose a name that would aesthetically fit better into the global top tier,” Marcel explains. The original and, in some ways, conventional "Just Pure" was red-carded and replaced by the atypical word Lejaan. What does it mean?

LEJAAN AS AN ANAGRAM

Lejaan is a playful anagram of the owners' names. From Marcel's name, the name begins with the syllable "Le", and the two A's in "jaan" refer to the two Jans. The name should be pronounced as "Leján," but if you read it differently and imagine our comfortable collections of bedding, terry, and throws, then everything is fine.
