Just as every great meal is preceded by a list of quality ingredients, a perfect bed appearance is created by the right combination of materials, patterns, and colors. We at Lejaan like simplicity. That's why we design all our collections to be color-coordinated and combinable. We asked our creative director, Jana Hučíková, how to achieve a Mix & Match that will suit your interior.
When choosing, remember that your imagination is the only limit. No combination is wrong if you like it. But if you're still unsure, ask yourself a few basic questions.

WHAT MATERIAL SUITS YOU?
Do you prefer TENCEL™ Lyocell, organic cotton, or a durable material made of cotton and synthetic fibers? The choice of a specific fabric narrows your selection options. Although materials can be combined, it comes with its challenges.
“Each fabric has different breathability and thermoregulation, and if you have a pillowcase made of fine cotton sateen and a duvet cover made of durable polyester fabric, both materials will behave differently during sleep,” says Jana. “Of course, you can have a mix of fabrics with different properties and structures on your bed, but for sleeping, I only recommend one material.”

“The combination of earthy tones brightens every interior and adds playfulness to the space. Thanks to the muted shades, even such a striking color combination in the bedroom looks pleasant.”

HOW TO CHOOSE COLORS?
A bedroom serves for rest and the replenishment of physical and mental energy, and this needs to be taken into account when choosing colors. "I always recommend calm and muted colors. A potential colorful accessory can brighten up the bed, but it should not act as a disruptive element. Dark shades of bedding stand out beautifully in a bright space, while in a small room with insufficient light, they can create a gloomy or even depressing impression," adds Jana.

“White with blue looks fresh and youthful. I recommend this color variation for interiors where comfort with a book or Netflix is preferred over the look of a hotel bed.”

When choosing bedding, we recommend avoiding aggressive colors like saturated red and strong patterns. Bedding takes up a large area in the room, thus attracting attention and influencing the overall energy of the space.
On the other hand, you can't go wrong if you dress your pillows and duvets in white. "It works everywhere and in most color combinations," argues our creative director. "It looks great with soft earthy tones and cool dark colors and suits any interior in combination with any material. Many people are afraid of white, but for me, it should be a mandatory part of every bedroom," she adds.
Set tip: Bedding Winter Fields & Daily Notes & Fair Play
“This is an example of using different textures. White stripes of varying widths, combined with gray, create a very subtle combination that certainly doesn't look boring upon closer inspection. It's a perfect example that even a white bed doesn't have to be 'just' white.”

WHAT SIZES DO YOU NEED?
Thanks to our configurator, you don't have to buy a whole set of each bedding. Do you desire green pillows Mum's Kingdom, but want a white duvet? Nothing stands in your way. Just buy the specific cover size from each collection, and your unique bedding set is created.
HOW MANY PILLOWS IS JUST RIGHT?
At Lejaan, we pay attention to details, which is why we sew two styles of pillowcases – Classic with a smooth edge and Oxford with a decorative trim. Choose one, or combine them in a unique pillow menu. The more pillows you choose, the more Mix & Match options you have.

“Neutral, earthy tones combined with stripes create an elegant and sophisticated impression. In a bed made up like this, you certainly won't be eating pizza; you're more likely to read the newspaper, and in print form at that.”
