Ambitious, innovative, pushing the boundaries of the usual – this is how the architectural studio Perspektiv describes its projects, which are currently undergoing expansion in the field of public spaces and development projects. For the private residential part of their work, they therefore created a new arkhe studio, which is dedicated to designing unique homes from the rough construction to the last detail. Join us behind the scenes of their magnificent work. We will introduce you to two beautiful projects to which we also had the opportunity to contribute.
APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF BRATISLAVA
"The client expected the new home to become a base from which they could travel the world with their family," the architectural studio described the family apartment project in the heart of the Slovak capital. This resulted in a generous space that reflects the client's cosmopolitan lifestyle and combines historicizing elements with modern design.

The living room is airy and timeless.
"We furnished the apartment using the Design&Build method, which is essentially a turnkey implementation," Kristýna Boková, marketing manager of Perspektiv & arkhe, explained to us. Thanks to this, the architects supervised the individual phases of implementation, and the entire reconstruction process ran much more smoothly.
Precise work and the choice of quality materials are reflected in the overall impression of the space. The interior is dominated by surfaces with rich textures, such as solid wood, paneling, and exotic stone from Brazil, which dominates the kitchen and the entire entrance area of the apartment.

The striking quartzite from Brazil and a delicate color palette create a deliberate contrast.
The comfortable use of the apartment is enhanced by the use of modern technologies. One of the smart details is the motorized curtains in the bedroom, which can be drawn with a simple wave of the hand. Smart lights, in turn, easily create the atmosphere the client prefers at any given moment.

Thanks to the paneling throughout the apartment, the space has a cohesive feel.
The chosen materials and thoughtful details provide a timeless basis for accessories, to which the Perspektiv studio attaches great importance. "Even during photoshoots, we try to play with styling to make the apartment feel inviting and lived-in. We are not fans of sterile interiors. We always give the client a gift during the final handover, whether it's a designer vase or Lejaan bedding. We see this as a pleasant start in a new home," Kristýna described their approach.

The spaces of the Bratislava apartment were also complemented by selected Lejaan products. For the bedroom in muted tones, the architects chose the light grey collection Father's Playground and the woven throw Woven Monocolour. "In our interiors, we emphasize details. Every centimeter must be used to the maximum, and every joint must be perfect. We know that with Lejaan, we share a similar philosophy, which is why we love to use your products," Kristýna delighted us at the end of our conversation.

SUN-DRENCHED APARTMENT IN VINOHRADY
The latest realization by arkhe studio is a timeless interior of an apartment in Vinohrady. They designed the home for a family of three with a nod to its history, but for the needs of today. The entire space was custom-made, without compromise and using first-class materials, so that the apartment would look good and serve its purpose now and for decades to come.

The space pays homage to the high ceilings of Vinohrady apartments and timeless materials.
Instead of sharp corners, arkhe studio worked with rounded shapes. "The space flows better, visually and physically. Curved shapes are more practical and, in many cases, aesthetically more suitable," explained Ján Antal, co-founder of Perspektiv and arkhe studios. As an example, he cited the wooden built-in unit that was created in the apartment thanks to the overall modification of the layout and conceals practical storage spaces and a full-fledged bathroom.

The kitchen island countertop was created from three rounded quartz slabs.
In their design, the architects made sure to conceal as many distracting elements as possible. Appliances are therefore hidden in the kitchen island and built-in furniture. The heating is also invisible, hidden behind a rattan weave, which is echoed in the design of the dining chairs by Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret from the 1950s. The interior is further enlivened by striking accessories such as Bomma Orbital crystal lamps, Miniforms Soda glass tables, and a hand-knotted Gun Rug.

Bedding and a Lejaan throw also play a role in the space. This time, the architects enveloped the bedroom in darker and more subdued colors to emphasize the cozy and calm atmosphere. An elegant detail is the profiled glass, which allows light to pass through, promotes intimacy, and divides the room into sleeping and dressing areas.

Arkhe studio aims to create interiors where life is good. And the apartment in Vinohrady is one of them. "We avoid trends. We like spaces full of natural materials that develop a beautiful patina, withstand everyday use, and will bring you joy for many years. Before you sand them down, stain them, or repaint them again," concluded architect Ján Antal.

In the bathroom, the architects worked with terrazzo, which is an integral part of apartment buildings.
STUDIO PERSPEKTIV & ARKHE
Studio Perspektiv is known for its expertise in office and community spaces. However, their expertise extends much further. In their projects, they focus on functionality and sustainability with the aim of finding the best solutions and pushing the status quo of contemporary architecture. This October, they introduced their new brand arkhe – an architectural and realization studio dedicated to residential projects for end clients. Their philosophy is based on an individual approach to each design and listening to client needs.
