Bold Overlock: When a Throw Sets the Tone

"We felt it was time to take a step into the unknown," say our creative directors Natálie and Aneta, describing the creation of Lejaan's latest collection of accessories. And Bold Overlock is precisely that step – towards greater playfulness, courage and distinctive style.

At first glance, it is clear that Bold Overlock throws do not just want to complement an interior. They want to transform it. Thanks to their distinctive overlock hem, original abstract patterns and imaginative colours, they become a quiet yet powerful artistic element in any room.

"A throw can function like a painting. It draws light onto wood, brings warmth to concrete, softens metal edges," the creators of the collection describe its power.

Colours that engage in dialogue 

Each composition is carefully balanced between boldness and calmness, playfulness and earthiness. "We wanted them to be striking, but still rooted in a harmony that lasts," explain the creators of the throws, which you can purchase in purple-grey, green-blue and beige-brown.

Overlock as an artistic frame

And what exactly is an overlock? It's a type of distinctive stitching that emphasizes the edges of a textile. In the case of Bold Overlock, it functions like a frame for a painting. "It's not just an extra decoration. It's a gesture that underlines the graphic design and gives the whole a bold outline," say the designers. Thanks to it, each throw has an even stronger visual presence.

Material made for embraces

The throws are woven from a combination of New Zealand wool and cotton, with a higher weight of 480 g/m². The result? A heavier blanket that feels sturdy and pleasantly embracing. The wool and cotton fibres naturally interact with colours, subtly brightening them and creating an effect of depth and texture. This makes the throws appear vibrant even in calm shades.

Reversible design

Each throw is reversible – thus offering a different colour dominance from both sides. Just turn it over and the atmosphere in the room is instantly transformed. "The patterns emerged as spontaneous gestures. We wanted the blankets to convey movement, life, transformation," add Aneta and Natálie.
