A home full of sunshine, laughter, sweet scents , and original accessories. This time, creative and smiling Míša Dobiášová invited us into her home, and thanks to her visit, we are taking away not only positive energy but also tons of inspiration and a memory of the best banana bread under the sun.

As soon as we stepped through the door, we were met with a sense of coziness and love. How did you achieve that?

That's certainly thanks to a loving four-legged welcome and the scent of fresh banana bread, various candles, and incense sticks.

How do you manage to infuse your personal style into a rented space?

I believe a personal style can be conveyed through accessories and small details. For example, I enjoy breaking up cleanliness, airiness, and simplicity with something unconventional now and then. Something that doesn't seem to belong in the space at first glance. Delicacy with a pinch of punk – that's me.

The magic of an interior is best highlighted by personalized accessories, fresh flowers, and loving details.

What do you think makes a home?

Rozárka, favorite scents, and that aura of warmth and safety that everyone creates for themselves.

And what do you think it smells like?

Sweet. I love sweet and spicy home fragrances that evoke coziness and the joy of freshly baked goods.

Could you recommend your favorite home fragrances or candles?

Oh, home fragrances and candles! Everywhere I go, I test all sorts of local brands; I love to experiment and search for "the one." It's my guilty pleasure. I have an entire drawer in my dresser dedicated to a queue of scents waiting for their turn. Lately, I've been interested in a few pieces from Bohemian Lab and Parfumed Prague.

But I'll admit without hesitation that I also like to return to Zara Home for their scent diffusers, especially their limited winter editions. I also adore Bath & Body Works candles, which fill the entire apartment with fragrance.

Which room do you spend the most time in?

Definitely the kitchen, where there's the most light and a calming view of the garden.

Throws from the Colour Melange collection will brighten up any corner of your home.

How would you describe your apartment in three words?

Oasis, peace, sanctuary.

How often do you change, move, or rearrange things in your apartment?

Almost never, actually. My apartment is quite small, so I don't have much room to go wild. I'm glad that every item has found its place where it perfectly fulfills its function.

What item for your apartment did you search for the longest?

I'm still looking for a smaller, comfortable, stylish, maybe even slightly extravagant sofa. (laughs)

Have you made anything in your apartment yourself?

Just a few plates, pots, and a picture. I'd love to try making similar small items on a larger scale.

What do you think makes any space cozy?

Flowers!

And what should everyone have at home?

Good coffee, flowers, a proper vacuum cleaner, and love.

What does the feeling of freshly made beds evoke in you?

Freshly made beds are my ticket to a heavenly kingdom, where I jump from cloud to cloud, eat cotton candy, and feel absolute happiness. And it's also a life hack I use to make myself go to bed earlier because I just can't wait.

What else could Lejaan produce?

Cozy curtains, beautiful rugs, and kitchen towels. Oh, and pet beds too!

A cozy bed will bring you one step closer to quality sleep. Míša completed hers with the green Jane's Weekend collection.

You prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. Can you share the recipe for that delicious banana bread?

Of course, I'd love to.

Ingredients:

6 very ripe bananas, 3 eggs, 30 g butter (or ghee), 150 ml kefir (TIP: One time I forgot to buy kefir, so I resorted to the well-known method of "if you don't have... use something else...". I happened to have two Pribináčky [a type of soft cheese dessert]. Since then, they, or other quark/cream desserts, have always been a must in my banana bread. Try it. Seriously!), 200 g fine spelt flour, 20 g coconut flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, 30 g panela (or other sweetener), 1 gingerbread baking powder, 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, 1 tbsp chia seeds, quality dark chocolate, favorite jam (I prefer cherry jam with whole pieces of fruit)

Instructions:

1) Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

2) Put 5 bananas, eggs, melted butter or ghee, and the dairy component into a blender. Blend until smooth.

3) In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients – sifted flours, cinnamon, sweetener, baking powder, seeds, and broken chocolate pieces.

4) Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients to form a batter. Pour it into a loaf pan lined with baking paper.

5) Spoon several dollops of jam onto the batter and use the other end of the spoon to create spirals over the entire surface of the batter. Decorate with the remaining banana and more chocolate. You can also sprinkle in seeds or nuts to your liking.

6) Bake in the preheated oven for about an hour. You can check if the bread is done with the good old skewer test.

Beautiful interior, good food, and endless laughter. We could always return to Míša's home.

My favorite ritual is...

Waking up early with the feeling that I'm one step ahead of everyone else, taking Rozárka for a walk, preparing oatmeal, fragrant coffee, lighting palo santo, and starting work.

My favorite place in the apartment is...

The dining table by the French window.

My favorite home accessories are...

Probably those flowers again.

At home, I prefer to wear...

A dressing gown! And if not a dressing gown, then a really fuzzy tracksuit.

When someone visits for the first time, they are always surprised that...

That it smells nice at my place. (laughs) And also my magical pantry, where you can hide anything and everything.

Wrap yourself in soft cotton, put on the hood, and home comfort can begin.

Shower or bath?

Bath.

Early bird or night owl?

Well, that's a question. Both have something for me. I constantly have to remind myself that combining them is destructive and that I shouldn't do it. (laughs) But if I have to choose one, I choose early bird.

Sleeping under the stars or in a luxury hotel?

One night under the stars to soak up the beauty of nature, and the next night to catch up on all the comfort in a hotel. Can I cheat like that? (laughs)

Old second-hand items or new arrivals?

A little bit of everything.

Minimalism or maximalism?

Minimalism.

Perfect order or creative chaos?

All my attempts at perfect order always devolve into creative chaos.

An evening at a party or in bed?

In bed. (laughs)

Morning coffee or tea?

Coffee.

Solid color bedding or Mix & Match?

I used to say solid color, but lately, I like to be a bit daring. So Mix & Match!
