TENCEL™ Lyocell is a material we love. You often ask us how to wash the bedding to keep it looking like new. Here are some tried-and-tested tips on how we care for it.
FIRST WASH
Before first use, the bedding needs to be washed at least once at the recommended temperature. Washing removes manufacturing impurities, residual dyes, and softens the surface of the bedding.

NO FABRIC SOFTENER NEEDED
Lyocell collections are soft and smooth on their own, so there's no need for fabric softener. Fabric softener creates a chemical reaction that coats the fibers with a thin film, reducing their natural breathability and moisture absorption. Fabric softener is not recommended in textiles for lyocell, nor for any other materials (terry cloth, sheets, cotton bedding).

When using a dryer, dry the bedding inside out and choose a gentle program with a low temperature.
WASH AND DRY WITH CARE
Turn the bedding inside out for both washing machine and dryer. Choose a milder program or one specifically for delicate laundry. If you're unsure, the label will guide you. When hanging on a hanger or clothesline, hang with the reverse side out. In summer, you should soak up the warmth of the sun's rays yourself and spare the bedding from direct sunlight.

TENCEL™ Lyocell is a completely natural resource ideal for making bedding.
It's no coincidence that our lyocell bedding is one of Lejaan's best-selling products. You've come to love its softness, which is hard to match with other materials. With proper care, you will preserve the softness of Tencel fibers, and they will bring you joy as if it were their first day on your bed. They will withstand pillow fights, bedroom camping, and will delight many a duvet lover.
